Eating Clean is Eating Simple.  Being an Urban Athlete means consuming food in its most natural state, or as close to it as possible. It is not a diet; it’s a lifestyle approach to food and its preparation, leading to an improved life – one meal at a time.

Don't be fooled, it's nothing new, those involved in the health and wellness industry, athletes, personal trainers and health conscious individuals have been practicing "clean eating" for years.

Clean eating involves replacing processed foods with fresh and natural foods like vegetables, fruits and whole grains, plus healthy proteins and fats. That means cutting back on refined grains, added sugars, salt and unhealthy fats.

Urban Athletes take the time to see what's in their food.  They try not to purchase items with more than 4-6 ingredients on the package label.  Take note: If you can't pronounce it, you probably shouldn't put it in your body.
